About this event

  • 2 hours

A firm favourite with Nottingham audiences, inimitable saxophonist Alan Barnes channels the music of Charlie Parker, a pioneer of the ‘bebop’ style in jazz. Ably backed by local Peggy's Skylight house band, Barnes uses his phenomenal stylistic range on tunes such as Yardbird Suite & Moose The Mooche; while his humorous introductions neatly provide period context. A ‘jazz on a summer’s evening’ treat – see you there!
