Overview

Join us to learn more about UK Jellyfish species and how to identify them

What do barrel, moon and compass all have in common? They are all types of jellyfish found in UK waters, and if you spot any on your next trip to the beach, scientists want to hear about it.

As part of its nationwide project Jellywatch, the Marine Conservation Society (MCS) is asking people in the UK and Ireland to report any jellyfish they see, either in the water or washed ashore. Our partners, The Bay, are hosting a family friendly information session on how to identify common British jellyfish species and how to report sightings to MCS. Come along after school for a fun and informative hour with Rachel to find out more.
