Johannes Ensemble

Originally set up in 2011 by conductor Angelika-Rose Stangl, each concert contains a concerto with a professional soloist. The orchestra has gone from strength to strength and this is its sixth season. Musicians play for fun and experience and the joy of working with other talented players.

The repertoire is a piano concerto extravaganza with two concerti: Beethoven's Piano Concerto no. 3 and Brahms' Piano Concerto no. 2, both with phenomenal soloists. Last year, the ensemble started a journey with pianist David Alexander and this concert is the third of our cycle of Beethoven's piano concertos. 
Our soloists are <A HREF="http://www.ram.ac.uk/about-us/staff/David-alexander" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="David Alexander" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">David Alexander</A> (Beethoven) and <A HREF="http://www.shu-weitseng.com" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="Shu-Wei Tseng" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Shu-Wei Tseng</A> (Brahms).
