About Join the Dots

tsiMORAY's annual networking conference Join the Dots, on Wednesday 20 March, brings together community groups, voluntary organisations, social enterprises, charities and public agencies in the spirit of learning, collaboration and celebration!

Whatever the question, community is the answer

It's widely recognised that with increasingly limited resources, some of the structures and funding we once relied on may not always be in place, however there are more opportunities for people to take control of what happens in their communities.

This year's Join the Dots will look at how we might raise resilience in our own communities, what more resilience might look like, and what might help or hinder raising resilience.

We'll hear from two keynote speakers Kosha Joubert, Executive Director, Global Ecovillage Network, and Alice Thompson, Co-founder of Social Bite. Kosha's work takes her around the globe while Alice is based closer to home but both have supported communities to come up with incredibly creative solutions to the key issues affecting them.

New format

We're changing the format of our conference, based on feedback from staff and participants; this year we'll focus more on networking and discussion among delegates and less on workshops and seminars (which we've moved into our tsiMORAY training calendar).

No marketplace this year

We've taken the decision to trial not having a marketplace this year. While some people loved it, the people hosting the stalls usually missed their lunch and coffee breaks and the people enjoying their lunch and coffee breaks missed the stalls. This year, we'd like everyone to enjoy their lunch and use that time for less formal, and perhaps even more effective, networking.

Continuous improvement

We hope you will be able to join us for this year’s Join the Dots, and we look forward to your feedback to inform next year’s event.

Buffet Lunch

Enjoy a buffet lunch and relish in the opportunity to network with other people who are making a difference across Moray!
