Journeys Into Practice
Journeys into Practice brings together members of the architectural community, the wider built environment sector, and creative disciplines
A joint event hosted by RIBA London and the Stephen Lawrence Day Foundation exploring how the architecture and built environment sectors can better support and champion, emerging talent from underrepresented backgrounds. We thank Foster + Partners for providing a home for this event as well as being a long-standing collaborator of the Stephen Lawrence Day Foundation.
The event will feature stories from Stephen Lawrence Day Foundation alumni who have benefited from scholarships, bursaries, or work placements supported in Stephen’s name. Speakers will reflect on their personal journeys into practice, the impact this support has had on their career progression, and where they are now. Through these lived experiences, the event will highlight the role that practices, institutions, and supporters can play in creating more inclusive, equitable pathways into architecture and the built environment.
Agenda:
16.00 - Welcome Drinks (SLDF and RIBA Representative)
17:00 - Speakers (SLDF alumni)
18:00 - Event Close
18:00 - 19:00 - Optional Networking
