Junkspace: Tap for Sound

Cabbage is a nomadic artist-led initiative for contemporary visual arts that centres a transdisciplinary approach to making. Based in Glasgow, Cabbage programmes regular events and exhibitions throughout the year, as well as running a resilience programme for marginalised and early career artists. Cabbage aims to test out the ways in which individual artists and freelance curators can mobilise together to run their own projects which in themselves, prioritise artist development and sustainable support.

Cabbage presents Junkspace: Tap for Sound, a screening event of moving image exploring the spaces inhabited by artists online, post internet culture and the divergence of sound and image.
The programme brings together a group of artists who communicate their practice through the screen, occupying digital platforms with fictionalised personas and altered voice. Across several of the works, music, humour and the alter ego are used to communicate with the audience in the form of make up tutorials, interviews, lip syncs and gag reels.

Wheelchair accessible. 
BYOB - please feel free to bring your favourite tipple along with a small donation of £2 for corkage. A cash bar offering wine will also be available. All proceeds go toward supporting future Cabbage events and The Seamore Neighbourhood Cinema.
