Join the Improvement Service (IS), the Scottish Local Authorities Economic Development Group (SLAED), and Sustainable Scotland Network (SSN) for a collaborative roundtable to help advance Scotland’s Just Transition from policy to practice in local government.

Purpose:

This interactive session aims to bridge national strategy with local implementation, focusing on:

Fostering a shared understanding of Just Transition in practice, linking economic development and climate change priorities.
Highlighting national ambitions and local examples of Just Transition principles in action.

Identifying collaborative opportunities to align policies and drive a fair and sustainable future.

Who should attend?

We invite participation from all local authority colleagues who are involved in, or interested in contributing to Just Transition policy and implementation in Scotland. This invitation has been extended to those working in the areas of climate change and economic development in local government through SSN, SLAED and SCIS.

In addition to local authority colleagues, we hope to hear from national government in addition to individuals from third sector and other public sector organisations who are engaged in Just Transition efforts in Scotland.
