Kaffeine Coffee Classes
Overview
Soon after establishing Kaffeine in 2009, we found that many people were starting to take a real interest in coffee and ask, ‘how do you do that?’ and so in 2010 we started these coffee classes to be able to share our knowledge, skills and passion.
Our lead baristas and senior baristas are your personal trainers and classes are held at 15 Eastcastle Street store which was established in 2015.
All classes start at 6:30 pm and run for approx. 2 hours. The trainers will open the class by explaining a bit about Kaffeine and the coffee and machinery we use here, then will get you behind our bar and show you how we make espresso and steam milk to perfection. You'll get to practice pouring latte art in flat white cups with our trainers giving direct feedback on how to improve. We provide you with light snacks and a comprehensive hand out to take home with you. You are welcome to drink the coffees you make, please let us know if you want to steam with oat milk instead.
Attending a latte art class with Kaffeine entitles you to a 10% discount on all retail coffee/equipment bought on the night (must be used at the class).
Latte Art Classes
These are a great entry point to coffee and a fun way to learning how to make espresso-based coffee and focus on the steaming, texturing and pouring of milk and creating hearts, rosettas and tulips or even swans.
The cost is £70.00 per person and classes have a maximum of 6 people and with 1 trainer for every 3 people, it is suitable for the absolute beginner to the home enthusiast. The first hour is show and tell about the machine and making coffee and the last hour is very hands on with milk texturing and pouring.
They are held every fortnight on a Thursday, please check our website for upcoming dates.
Private Classes
We can also accommodate a private class for one or two people. Personal classes are £150 for one person or £200 for two people. They focus on whatever you are most interested in, as it is just you and the trainer. We will speak with you directly at the beginning to gain an understanding of your abilities and curate the class just for you.
Please email us (classes@kaffeine.co.uk) with a request for a personal class with some dates that you are available, then we can coordinate with our trainers' availability. This class will run from 6.30 pm for approx two hours, and can be any date (provided availabilty).
Gift Vouchers
If you wish to purchase a voucher for a class for a friend or loved one, we can provide emailable or hard copy gift vouchers with a letter of explanation about the classes. You can pre-book a particular date or you can allow the recipient to book a date of their choice in the future.
Please email us direct using peter@kaffeine.co.uk to enquire about gift vouchers.
