Description

On 31st January 2018 we will be launching the full results of KCLxBIT, a collaborative pilot project between King’s College London and the Behavioural Insights Team (BIT).

The project has explored whether behavioural insights can be effective in increasing student engagement and sense of belonging at King’s, with a particular focus on the impact for under-represented student groups. As part of the project, we ran seven RCTs aimed at increasing student enagement with university services and experiences, and ran a six-point pulse survey with 750 first years to understand how they were experiencing King's at six pivotal moments in the year.

This is the first time behavioural insights have been trialled in a UK higher education context.

The event will mark the launch of the King’s Social Mobility and Student Success What Works Unit, and will include a panel discussion on the future of evidence led practice in full student lifecycle approaches, with contributions from behavioural insights professionals & senior HE sector representatives.

Speakers include:
Dr David Halpern, Chief Executive, Behavioural Insights Team
Emran Mian, Director of Strategy and Social Mobility, Department for Education
Nick Hillman, Director, Higher Education Policy Institute
Professor Nicola Phillips, Vice-President & Principal (Education), King's College London

Registration from 3.30pm, event begins at 4pm.
