Lang Toun Cycles is a community bike shop in the heart of Kirkcaldy. We offer cycle servicing and repairs, sales of refurbished bikes, new ebikes and cycling accessories, a bike and electric-bike loan scheme, bike maintenance training and volunteering opportunities.

In this bike maintenance class, you will learn how to keep your bike clean.

Bike Maintenance Workshops

Lang Toun Cycles run a range of bike maintenance workshops to help you take care of your bike day to day.

Learn how to keep your bike clean This will help your bike function better and reduce the need for maintenance. We will look at keeping dirt, mud and salty water out of your bottom bracket, keeping your brakes clean and noise-free and finally your chain. Keeping your derailleurs clean will also keep you peddling. Delivered by Lang Toun Cycles’ experienced cycle mechanics, anyone can register for this course. No previous experience is necessary. Minimum age is 12 years for these classes and under 16&#x27;s must be accompanied by an adultWater, tea and coffee will be availableIdeally you should bring along your own bike or, if you like you can use one of our provided bikes. We will provide the required tools, protective equipment and work stands. Please wear clothing you do not mind getting dirty as you will be dealing with grease and grime. Aprons and gloves will also be provided. Booking InfoThis event is free to attend, but booking is required.
