Anthology

Kennington Stories is a two-day film festival held at The Cinema Museum on Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th  February 2019.
The event coincides with The Cinema Museum’s 21st anniversary, which will involve a series of film screenings and a short film competition. Go back in time and enjoy the cinema experience. There is something for everyone! 
 Event Programme:

Tuesday 12th February 2019 
4:00pm-6:30pm – Mary Poppins film screening Family friendly film screening for children and adults to enjoy of the all-time classic, Mary Poppins. 
6:45pm-8:30pm – Created Out Of Mind short film festival Created Out of Mind is a team aiming to explore, challenge and shape perceptions and understanding of dementias through science and the creative arts. The team explores what dementia means to us all, challenges traditional definitions and common misconceptions, and unlocks what we can learn about art, consciousness and the brain from the experiences of people living with different dementias. Following on from a successful film festival in 2018, Created Out Of Mind will be screening a selection of films which explore unique and diverse stories of dementia.

3:00pm-4:30pm – LCC Showcase London College of Communication will showcase their work 
5:30pm-7:30pm – Music from the Movies Sing-along screening of The Greatest Showman

Kennington Stories is a two-day film festival produced in collaboration between Anthology, The Cinema Museum, Created Out of Mind and Greenspace. Anthology’s initiative is in celebration of their exciting new development proposals for Anthology Kennington Stage. Along with proposing new private and affordable homes and courtyard spaces, Anthology are also working with The Cinema Museum to allow them to remain in Masters House and secure their long-term future on the site, supporting culture and history in Kennington. The festival coincides with The Cinema Museum’s 21st anniversary in The Masters House, a former workhouse in which local-born star Charlie Chaplin was once an inmate.
