Merseyway Workshop

Discover the traditional Japanese art of Kintsugi or “gold joinery” with artist Emily Thomas, and create/repair a beautiful ceramic piece to take home. You'll learn all about the art and replicate the ancient techniques with contemporary materials.You will repair a small antique dish - these are unique objects and will vary depending on what can be sourced. A selection of ceramic pieces will be available to choose from on the day.If you would like to repair something from home, please send pictures of the piece beforehand to <a href="mailto:hello@emilythomasceramics-etc.com" title="mailto:hello@emilythomasceramics-etc.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">hello@emilythomasceramics-etc.com</a>. We'll do our best to accommodate within the time, however, if it's too complex to repair during the workshop, I will offer advice on how to continue the project at home.

Bring your own apron if you have one.Transport• We are within a short walk from Stockport train and bus station. Parking is available at the Merseyway Shopping Centre NCP.Refunds and Booking Terms• Workshop and course bookings can be cancelled and refunded up until 7 days before the scheduled start date.
