Natural Ink Workshop

Tom and Helen

We will start the day discussing what kitchen ingredients are suitable for making natural ink, you may be surprised what a range of colour giving ingredients there are! There will be lots of examples of our work, samples of different papers and lots of inspiration! We will show you how to cook and extract their colour, then we will spend some time creating modifiers and binders to make artist grade inks which you will then have time to experiment with. By the end of the workshop you will have your own bottles of ink, and a modifier. A digital instruction manual will be sent to you including a project to try at home. After the workshop you will have all of the knowledge to become an ink maker!
