K'Nex Kit Loan for Glasgow Science Festival Creating Engineers
Glasgow Science Festival (GSF) have a class-worth of kits available on short-term loan for a period of one week. Kits can be booked online via our booking system during the period November 2025 to March 2026. Please book kit as soon as possible.
All Cluster Challenges need to have taken place and winners submitted to GSF by Wednesday 18th March 2026.
Where requested, please enter Cluster School name and Cluster person contact details, along with details of the person completing the form. No payment is required.
Kit Loan Rules
One slot only should be booked per Cluster. Cluster leads should coordinate kit transfer between schools if required.
Each bag provided is an individual kit. We ask that kits are returned as loaned, ie:
- No pieces swapped between bags
- All models fully dismantled
- No additional items (eg paper, pencils, string) returned with the kit
All kits should be checked to ensure they are complete prior to returning them to the University of Glasgow. If kits are not returned in a reusable state, we will be unable to loan to the school in the future.
Collection Information
Kits should be collected on Wednesdays between 9am and 10am on your allocated day of collection.
Kits should be returned on the following Tuesday between 3pm and 4pm.
Kits can be collected from the Glasgow Science Festival Office, 2 Professors' Square, University of Glasgow, University Avenue, Glasgow G12 8QQ. View on interactive campus map or in the below image. Driving instructions are given in red, with pedestrian entrance highlighted in blue.
Vehicle Directions: You can drive onto the University of Glasgow campus via Pearce Lodge Gate, at the foot of University Avenue. After entering through Pearce Lodge Gate, drive up Engineering Way and along South Front, then turn right into The Square. The GSF office is facing you on entering The Square. To exit, turn right on leaving The Square and follow Dumbarton Way to the South Gate, on Dumbarton Road.
