This calming welcoming workshop offers the opportunity for beginners (and experienced knitters are welcome too!) to come together and have a go at making 2 simple patterns: A flower brooch and a mug cosy using garter and purl stitches.


Patterns, needles and wool kits are provided and included in the workshop price.Knitting is a relaxing and therapeutic pastime, enjoyed across the ages and the combination of focusing and being mindful when knitting is the perfect stress-busting activity! Betsan Corkhill, is an experienced healthcare professional who founded the community interest company stitchlinks.com in 2005. Betsan writes about how the repetitive techniques of knitting help to promote a calm state and beneficial impact on our mental health.This session is prebookable

Louise Brock is a fully trained Creative Arts Counsellor and Psychotherapist and has 16 years experience with working with young people and adults struggling with mental health issues. Louise is passionate about intergrating creativity with therapy to help empower clients to learn new skills, build self confidence and to find alternative ways of improving their emotional wellbeing. Louise is also a very active knitter and always has a project on the go!
