Event description
An interactive Co-Design Session to help shape and inform the future of the Knowledge Impacts Network

About this event

Following the successful launch of the Knowledge Impacts Network, we are delighted that this second session will be hosted by NCACE partners Birmingham City University and their STEAMHouse team and supported by Academics from across Art, Design & Media and Business.

Using case studies, reflections, and facilitated discussions, this session will provide an opportunity to help shape the network over the life of the project and hopefully beyond. The session will also provide space to reflect on and consider your own development needs, and how KIN could help to support them, as well as offering an opportunity to meet other people immersed in similar endeavours.

Our ambition is that KIN will become an imaginative, useful and supportive peer to peer space to support the capacity of those working in and leading the field of collaboration and knowledge exchange between higher education and the arts and cultural sectors.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Clayton Shaw (Programme Manager, Birmingham City University, STEAMhouse)
  • Mark Brill (Senior Lecturer, School of Games, Film and Animation, Birmingham City University)
  • Suzie Leighton (Co-Director, NCACE)
  • Dr Kayla Rose (Creative Producer, Paper Nations and Bath Spa University)
  • Emily Hopkins (Senior Manager - Research, Evidence and Policy, NCACE)

Case study 1: Crafts Council, presented by

  • Dr Karen Patel (Research Fellow, Birmingham Centre for Media and Cultural Research, Birmingham City University) and
