A play written by Hanoch Levin. Directed by Ariella Eshed.
The late Hanoch Levin is one of the greatest and most celebrated Israeli playwrights; he died in 1999 aged 56.
This fun, quirky piece, directed by Ariella Eshed, looks at the life of Krum as he negotiates two weddings and two funerals with his family and assortment of kooky friends. A crumbling neighbourhood in 1970s' Tel Aviv, full of beaten souls, desperately trying to get hold of something (or someone) they will never have. BUT as sad as it is, Krum, which premiered in 1975, is also outrageously funny. Just like life itself, probably.
This is an amateur production performed by members of the City Lit Theatre Company.
Ticket prices start from £10 Concessionary fee and £14 General Admission. Higher priced tickets include a donation to the City Lit Student Bursary.
