Labstep Automation and Integrations Workshop

Labstep is the go-to research tool for scientists. Founded on the shortcomings of pen and paper and existing lab softwares, Labstep takes away the messy, manual and time-consuming aspects of note-taking and data governance. Focussing on ease of use, the platform allows users to manage their electronic notebook, inventory, order requests and instruments in one, connected environment.Labstep’s mission is to bring computer-aided ease to all scientists. That’s why the platform is kept completely free for academics. Labstep is also available for companies and institutions looking to unify and standardise their data collection in a secure manner, or seeking IP protection and compliance.Since launching, the platform has been adopted by researchers at over 900 universities around the world, including Cambridge, Harvard and MIT, and various life science and biotech companies. Rapid adoption has also resulted in multiple institute-wide deployments, including the Francis Crick Institute in London.

Join us for this workshop where we will demonstrate the functionality of the our new Python library and explore possible applications that may benefit the scientific community.
What is the Labstep Python Library?
We have been working hard to develop a Python library that allows you to programmatically create and manage content in Labstep. The library has been designed to make it easy to build custom integrations with your equipment and software, automating the process of record keeping and data capture so that you never lose track of important information!

- We have the event space between 2-6 pm.
- There will be free tea and coffee provided.
