Lampshade Making Workshop

Join me and learn how to make your very own drum lampshade

Ever considered making your own lampshade? This workshop is for you.

During this relaxed 2 to 3 hour workshop, I will teach you how to create your own drum lampshade, in a size of your choice: 20, 25, or 30cm in diameter. By the end of the session you will have learnt basic lampshade making skills and take home a professional looking shade for your living space. Please let me know what size you would like to make at least a week before the session so I can prepare certain materials.

All equipment and materials will be provided, however there is the option to bring your own fabric if you have a project or place in mind for your shade. (A cotton material is preferred for a first time project as it is easier to handle.)

Philippa Godden is a lampshade designer and maker, as well as a recent Growing Club Business Start-Up Course graduate. She has been creating lampshades for sale for the past year and has ventured into designing and hand painting lampshades. During this period she has learnt a great deal about lampshade making and looks forward to teaching you some tips and tricks.
