Overview

Join Lancaster Open Research Share – a relaxed, friendly space to exchange research ideas, share work-in-progress & support each other!

Lancaster Open Research Share is an open forum for everyone interested in research and knowledge sharing. Whether you are a postgraduate student, academic, freelancing scholar or author, you are welcome.

It is intended as a relaxed and supportive space to present and discuss work-in-progress – no need to be fully prepared.

The aim is to come together to share ideas, explore topics you are passionate about, and support one another in the process. This might include talking through challenges with writing – whether that’s a chapter, article, thesis or book – or simply having a conversation about applications, publishing, recent readings or conferences.

It’s also a space to practise presentations, job interviews or vivas, and to talk about visions or future directions.

The setting is informal and open to all. Contributions can be as short as a 5-minute input or up to 30 minutes, depending on what you'd like to share – all within a warm and welcoming environment.

It’s a chance to try out ideas in a supportive space, connect and engage with others and gain new knowledge and fresh perspectives.
