Our Welcome Day* is a great way to meet your new teaching team, find out more about your course, take part in some practical activities and of course, find out who your new classmates are!
* This Welcome Day is for the following subject areas ONLY:
- Agriculture
- Animal Management
- Construction
- Countryside Management
- Engineering
- Equine
If you have applied for another subject area, you will be invited to their Welcome Day separately.
Please note, the Welcome Day will form part of the assessment to make sure the course is the right fit for you, so it is important that you attend.
Frequently asked questions
Please dress appropriately for the weather. Certain workshops may also require you to bring additional protective clothing with you - see the website for details. Please note that long hair must be tied back and jewellery must be removed when taking part in practical sessions.
Your young person does not need to be accompanied for the Welcome Day, but feel free to join them on campus for the day if you prefer as our support teams will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.
Transport to and from our Welcome Day cannot be provided by the College so please ensure you make suitable arrangements in advance. Please follow the signage on the A1079 to the Main Entrance to park/drop off. Our team will be ready to welcome you.
We recommend that you bring a packed lunch with you, but you can purchase lunch from one of our eating outlets if you wish. Please note, we do run a cashless campus.
Demand for Welcome Day places is high and there is often a waiting list, so we ask that you please contact us at marketing@bishopburton.ac.uk or telephone 01964 553000 if, for any reason, you are unable to attend.
