Landscape Painting Workshop

All-day landscape painting workshop with Hayley Whittingham, all materials provided.

A workshop exploring expressive approaches to painting landscapes in acrylic, focussing on a variety of methods for applying paint in order to capture the movement and drama of the landscape.

The workshop will begin with demonstration of techniques and discussion of colour choices, followed by plenty of time to experiment freely.
After developing confidence in the techniques, we will apply them to a couple of larger landscape paintings based on images chosen from a wide selection. Each painting will be built up over several layers, with individual advice and support throughout.

All materials are provided. Students are welcome to bring a packed lunch for the short lunch break. Alternatively there are excellent local shops and cafes close by.
