About this event

Come along to the online Q&A session via MS Teams to find out more about the Landscaping, Trees and Grounds Maintenance Bootcamp!

This bootcamp is a FREE 14-week full-time training course to secure entry level jobs in landscaping, trees and grounds keeping sectors. Candidates will gain industry recognised certificates, take part in local work placements and be offered a guaranteed interview upon completion of the course.

Full-time course: Will run Monday to Friday, 7 am – 3 pm between 1st September and 5th December 2025.

About the Training

The course includes:

  • Week 1 & 2: Intensive classroom and practical training
  • Week 3 - 13: Work placements with local employers across three sectors grounds maintenance, landscaping and trees & arboriculture. This will be paired with monthly group check-ins.
  • Week 14: CV writing, interview skills and meet the employer’s event

This bootcamp is funded through the Mayor of London’s Skills Bootcamp for Londoners programme.

What is Landscaping, Trees/Arboriculture and Grounds Maintenance?

Landscaping involves: planting and hard construction e.g. walkways & patios. Trees & Arboriculture involves managing and caring for trees. Grounds maintenance involves: trimming hedges and trees, mowing grass, tree and flower planting. All involve operating equipment and machinery.

What are the eligibility requirements to take part in the training?

Essential criteria: Have the right to work in the UK (https://www.gov.uk/view-right-to-work). You must be aged 19 and over (on 31 August 2025). Unemployed or in receipt of means-tested benefits. Living in the London Borough of Hounslow. Good standard of English, Maths & digital skills.

Do I need any required qualifications?

No qualifications or experience is needed to attend this course however as part of the course induction, you will be screened for: Literacy Entry Level 3, Numeracy Entry Level 2 & Basic Digital Skills
