About this event

JThis event aims to bring together professionals, charities and volunteers working with victims of domestic abuse across Wiltshire to introduce a new booklet called Fresh Thoughts.

The booklet was originally published by Soroptimists in Dorset and has now been adapted for Wiltshire. The booklet is designed to be used by professionals and volunteers to support conversations with women fleeing domestic abuse. It includes advice on digital safety, the legal process, help with housing and who to contact for assistance.

The booklet has been created by Salisbury and Swindon Soroptimists, with funding provided by the Wiltshire Police and Crime Commissioner. We believe that it fills a gap in our local provision by pulling information together in this format, using clear explanations appropriate to those who are not familiar with the legal system.

Please join us for light refreshments before the launch event starts - an opportunity to network with others working in this sector. You will be able to take away free copies of the booklet on the night.
