Launch Event
Overview
The Guide has been created due to the growing awareness that domestic abuse perpetrator interventions are attended by a neurodiverse population of clients. However, there has been less attention paid to the needs of Neurodivergent clients, and little guidance for practitioners on how to support them. It has been developed in collaboration with project partners from Community Justice Scotland (The Caledonian System), Probation North East (His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service) and Respect (Make a Change), and in consultation with two neurodivergent-led organisations, Neurodiverse Connection and Monika Labich Coaching and Therapy.
This event will take place on April 24th, 2026, 10.30-14.30.
This will be a hybrid event, taking place in person at a Durham University location, and online. Due to room capacity, registration is for attending online only.
The agenda will include an overview of the guide, presentations from project partners, and feedback from organisations that piloted the guide (10.30-13.30). The last hour of the event (13.30-14.30) will be an in-person networking event.
Please visit the project page for more details about the project.
