Launching ‘Lightbox’: NCACE Researchers and Cultural Practitioners Visibility & Collaboration Programme - Getting Involved
About NCACE:
The National Centre for Academic and Cultural Exchange (NCACE) facilitates and supports collaboration and knowledge exchange between higher education and the arts and cultural sectors, with a particular focus on evidencing and showcasing the social, cultural, and environmental impacts of such collaborations.
About the ‘Lightbox’ programme:
We are pleased to announce Lightbox: Researchers and Cultural Practitioners Visibility & Collaboration Programme, a new NCACE pilot programme aimed at early and mid-career academics and cultural practitioners working beyond the academy. It is being designed to: support capacity to undertake and communicate transformational cultural knowledge exchange activities; support visibility, confidence, and collaborative practice.
Lightbox is being developed to strengthen the capacity for co-created cultural knowledge exchange, with a particular focus on small-scale, impactful collaborations between researchers and smaller arts and cultural organisations. This short programme aims to enable participants to gain better awareness of the power of collaborative cultural partnerships and how to make them happen, and to encourage new and more expansive forms of visibility for this work.
This session is aimed at early and mid-career academics, artists, and cultural practitioners who are considering applying to the programme and who are interested in:
- expanding their collaborative practice and capabilities
- experimenting with new and more expansive models of visibility for research
- Developing, or building upon existing, small-scale projects with the potential for significant social and cultural impact
We will be talking through the programme as well as the application process for those interested in participating in this brand new pilot programme.
Join us to hear more, ask questions, and find out about the application process.
