Lazy Susans - Collage Cafe

Who do we worship and why? How do we choose to worship? In today’s transitory times and shifting climates, what do we devote our faith towards? Join the lazy susans curatorial collective to explore alternate relationships with spirituality and create contemporary interpretations of “the shrine” through the medium of collage. Using predominantly recycled materials, the lazy susans invite you to reframe perspectives around the sacred and pursue inquiries into your conceptions of faith. Investigating the consumption of images in society, we encourage you to question and disrupt the symbolic representations and ideologies circulated by mass media and popular culture. During the workshop we will do a collective collaging exercise as a congregation before breaking out to make use of this meditative practice of cutting, ripping and arranging to assemble our own shrines.
