About this event

Arts • Craft

Join us for LCF After Dark: Past/Future Patterns, a late opening of talks, showcases, workshops and performances responding to 20/20, a major project conceived by Professor Susan Pui San Lok, Director of UAL’s Decolonising Arts Institute, with funding from Freelands Foundation, Arts Council England and UAL.

The evening will explore how practices of fashion, art and design can confront and reimagine colonial legacies. Through live talks, creative workshops and performances, we’ll consider the politics of archive collections, the impact of waste colonialism, and the possibilities of upcycling and pattern making as tools for resistance and repair.

Bringing together artists, students and researchers, this event invites audiences to engage with new approaches to decolonising fashion, art and collections to imagine more just and sustainable futures.
