The Civil Service aim is to be the most inclusive UK employer and supporting senior ethnic diversity is a key part of this.
Statistics show proportionately there are fewer representatives from an ethnic minority background the higher up the grades you go.
This event is to encourage all, but particularly those from a BAME heritage on their leadership journey.
The day will be a mixture of networking, hearing inspiring BAME leadership journeys and top tips for progression.
There will also be a mixed panel discussion from a number of professions.
When: 18th February 2020
Time: 10:00 - 16:00pm (Arrival time with reception 10:00-10:20am; prompt 10:30 start)
Where: Central Hall Westminster, Storey's Gate, Westminster, London SW1H 9NH.
Please bring your government I.D for reception purposes and read pre-eventbrite message regarding lunch.
This event is in collaboration with Race to the Top G6/7 & MHCLG Diversity network, which aims to reach out as visible role models to the grades below.
Please note that you will need to seek approval from your line manager and any travel and subsistence costs must be met by your own department.
