Overview

A fully outdoor workshop designed to help you gain confidence in facilitating Outdoor Education

This course is only suitable for those who have completed the Introduction to Outdoor Education/Learning workshop. See our course calendar to book this if needed, before attending this course.

Join Field Studies Ireland for a certified, fully outdoor workshop designed to help you gain confidence in facilitating Outdoor Education, and to bring your own programmes outdoors, whether you are adapting existing activities/lessons or creating new ones.

The workshop explores how to use place-based education and experiential learning as the core pillars of effective outdoor teaching. Through dynamic, hands-on sessions, participants will learn how to foster curiosity, exploration, and discovery while developing structured, purposeful outdoor experiences for their learners.

Together, we will generate and share practical ideas for supporting learning outdoors and then strengthen those ideas with logic, structure, benefits, and evidence drawn from best practice and experience.

This certified workshop is ideal for teachers, educators, youth workers, volunteers, and anyone looking to enhance their ability to design and deliver meaningful, evidence-based outdoor learning experiences.

Participants will receive certification following completion of both courses (Introduction and Leading) of this Outdoor Education training programme.

Expect a fully outdoor experience, learning directly in natural spaces.

Note: Field Studies Ireland can bring this training directly to your team or local environment. If you have a group of people interested in this training, get in touch and we can provide more information specific to your team or location. www.fieldstudies.ie
