In the final event of our 'Professionalism' seminar series, we discuss the role of research in teacher leadership and development in FE

W﻿e are excited to invite you to the 3rd event in our series of seminars on the theme of &#x27;professionalism&#x27; in Further Education (FE). In this event, we will be discussing the role of college-centred research in supporting teacher leadership, education and professional development. We have an exciting panel of guest speakers, including:J﻿ulia Belgutay, Senior Policy Manager for Research &amp; Evidence at the Association of Colleges (AoC)Julia has been leading the AoC&#x27;s Research Further initiative, which was established collaboratively by Association of Colleges and NCFE to &quot;support, drive and encourage college-centred research that can help influence policy and practice.&quot;J﻿ulia will talk about the journey so far, and the impact of the work of the first 11 scholars recruited to the programme; as well as their ambitions for the future of research in FE. <a href="https://www.aoc.co.uk/research-unit/research-further" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://www.aoc.co.uk/research-unit/research-further</a> N﻿eale Gardiner, Edinburgh CollegeA﻿s one of the first scholars recruited to the Research Further programme, Neale will share his experiences and the findings of a recently completed Masters research project exploring the impact of colleges on regional inequality. D﻿r Joyce I-Hui Chen, College of West AngliaJ﻿oyce leads on teacher education, quality and professional development at the College of West Anglia and has recently completed her doctoral study exploring Joint Practice Development and its contribution to leading professional learning in FE settings.
