Upholstery Workshop – Make Your Own Footstool
Location: Petit Miracle Interiors, West12 Shopping Centre, Shepherd's Bush, London W12 8PH (Map)
Duration: 5 hours including one half hour break.
Group Size: Maximum of 2 participants
Looking for a hands-on creative experience? Join our beginner-friendly Upholstery Workshop at Petit Miracle Interiors and learn how to upholster your own footstool using modern tools and techniques.
You’ll work in a small group of no more than two people, allowing for tailored instruction based on your experience level. By the end of the session, you’ll not only complete your own footstool, but also gain practical upholstery skills you can use for future projects.
What You'll Learn:
How to use upholstery tools safely and effectively
Why specific tools and materials are used at each stage
The different types of materials used in modern upholstery
A step-by-step guide to upholstering a footstool or ottoman
Confidence to complete upholstery projects on your own
What’s Included:
One 45 x 30 cm footstool frame, and legs
All tools and core materials needed during the workshop
Expert, hands-on tuition in a small group setting
Your finished footstool to take home (everyone works at a different pace, so time permitting)
By booking this workshop, you’re also supporting our charitable work.
We are a Shepherds Bush–based charity and social enterprise that diverts furniture from landfill and incineration and uses the upcycling process to train local adults, including those facing barriers to work, education or social connection. Since 2009, we’ve been creating practical, measurable impact through work experience, traineeships and business incubation. All income from our workshops is reinvested directly into our people, programmes and the wider community — helping individuals build skills, confidence and employability while reducing waste.
Please Note:
You will need to bring your own upholstery fabric. If you’re unable to source fabric, we do have a small selection available for purchase starting at £20.

Please wear closed-toe shoes and clothing you don’t mind getting dusty or stained
