Learn to Darn Workshop
Overview

Come fix your clothes and learn cool mending skills in this hands-on workshop! Keep the clothes you own lasting longer.

Learn to Darn – Mend Your Woollens

Darning is back — and it’s easier (and more satisfying) than you might think. This relaxed, hands-on workshop will teach you the art of darning so you can repair your favourite woollen clothes and keep them in use for longer.

Led by Mads Do & Mend CIC, this 2.5 hour session takes place in a calm, safe, and supportive environment where you can slow down, focus, and enjoy making with others. Mending isn’t just about clothes — it’s about care, connection, and building stronger communities.

You’ll learn both visible and invisible darning techniques, guided step by step by Madeline Tanoto, and explore the tools and materials you can use to keep darning at home.

All darning materials and equipment are provided.

Just bring a woollen item to mend — jumpers, cardigans, or socks with holes are perfect.

Come mend your clothes, connect with others, and leave with skills you’ll use for life
