We have played a strategic role in Reading’s cultural life since 1993 – enabling art to appear in unexpected places and creating opportunities for people to look on and join in. Our workshop is the perfect introduction for anyone who has always wanted to learn to knit. Join us for a 3 hour supported session where you’ll learn to cast on, cast off, make knit and purl stitches and knit in the round.
We’ll work on some samples before putting it all together and knit a lovely squishy cowl.
The workshop is aimed at new knitters with no previous experience.
You will need to provide your own knitting materials for the workshop, please can you bring the following:
50g of super chunky yarn for stitch samples
100g of super chunky wool for your cowl
12mm 80cm circular knitting needles
Feel free to bring your own yarn or wait until the workshop where we will have yarn available to purchase at £1 per ball.
