What's it about?

#LearnHack is our community hackathon for people who are interested in collaborating and solving challenges. - And, no, you do not need to know how to write code! Ideas and concepts are just as welcome as tangible prototypes.

What might you work on?

We are interested in your ideas and prototypes on how we can make learning and university life easier, more convenient, more fun.

Whether you think of yourself as techie or arty, this event is for you. We welcome everyone to contribute their ideas and skills. - Let’s improve things creatively and collaboratively! 💪🧠

This year's motto is “Building Bridges” and our themes are:

Bridging Gaps (Teaching & Learning)
Bridge over Troubled Water (Mental Health & Well-Being)
Bridging the Distance (Connections & Community)

Have an idea for any of these themes? 💡 Click here for further details and how to submit your project proposal (deadline 18th Nov).

Your hack project should fit into one of these themes, but ultimately it's up to you what you bring to the weekend.

Still not convinced?

Maybe none of the themes spark any ideas (yet). Come along anyway just for the fun of it! Have delightful conversations with people you may never otherwise meet. Watch other people build cool stuff and be inspired. Offer your insights and help us facilitate the event. Sometimes just being present can spark ideas for new projects and make you feel more connected with the wider UCL community.

As long as you are interested in education and learning in some shape or form, you will not feel out of place. Apart from meeting a bunch of like-minded UCL folk, there will also be talks to get you thinking and workshops for you to learn new skills.
