Learning Disability and Psychiatry Update

Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust (NTW) provides a range of mental health, learning disability and neurological care services across North East England. NTW was recently rated as Outstanding by the CQC for the 2nd year running.

Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust are delighted to announce that we will be hosting a Learning Disability and Psychiatry Update CPD event on 7 November 2019. This is a full day event taking place at the Novotel Hotel, offering free car parking, lunch and refreshments. 
Topics will include: Sensory Processing - Susan Graham, Advanced Occupational Therapist Medication use in Learning Disability & Autism - David Gerrard, Advanced Pharmacist Practitioner Common Psychiatric Disorders - Dr Paul Swinglehurst, Consultant Psychiatrist Recognising & responding to communication needs in people with Learning Disabilities - Caroline Wills, Learning Disability Clinical Development Lead Forensic issues in patients with a Learning Disability - Dr Gill Bell, Consultant Psychiatrist Assessment of capacity - Dr Lisa Rippon, Consultant Psychiatrist Positive Behaviour Support - Dr Gill Legg, Consultant Clinical Psychologist

An early bird rate of £60 per head is being offered to all applications processed before 30 June 2019. Thereafter the charge will be £99 per delegate.
