Ever see the need for things to change in healthcare but feel powerless to act? You’re not alone. Only 55% of staff in the NHS feel able to make improvements happen in their area of work (NHS Staff Survey), a figure which has refused to budge in 5 years.

So how can change get going when often the system feels like it’s working against it? Join Kaleidoscope Health & Care and AbbVie on 20 July for a free half-day learning event to explore the nuts and bolts of making change happen. Speakers include:

*Paul Gaudin, founder of the New York Bagel Company, and the (just slightly controversial) CareRooms

*Will Warburton, Director of Improvement at the country's finest healthcare improvement charity, the Health Foundation

*Ruth Miller, Lead Research Pharmacist at Western Health and Social Care Trust, and winner of the AbbVie Sustainable Healthcare award for making health and social care patient friendly

*George Dellal, Quality Improvement Advisor at arguably the world's finest learning network, ImproveCareNow

In particular, we're going to be focusing on the concept of micro-actions, and creating a set of healthcare specific actions to support change starting across the NHS. Refreshments will be served from 9.30am, with the session starting at 10am and finishing at 1pm, when lunch will be provided.
