Learning Excellence Acceleration Programme

BU’s Learning Excellence Acceleration Programme (LEAP) helps staff to develop new and existing units by diagnosing areas for development, supporting colleagues to make adjustments using practical tools and techniques and solving issues to improve student learning.
With a solid base in research from Jisc, UCL and Diana Laurillard, a LEAP workshop is a way of creating a visual representation of a unit. 
The first part of the workshop enables unit teams to create a visual ‘storyboard’ outlining the type and sequence of learning activities and assessment required to meet the unit’s intended learning outcomes.  
Individual units are then brought together to enable a programme view to be developed and the connections between units to be understood. 
The workshop will conclude with a Knowledge Café were colleagues can reflect on their workshop findings and draw upon the expertise of the facilitators.
