Learning from Nature

Catrionafocused the first decade of her career on transforming the performance of charities and social enterprises and of leaders in social innovation in London, New York, and beyond.  In 2014, building on this experience, she retrained as a leadership and life coach.A MOE Certified Coach and Certified Professional Co-Active Coach, Cat coaches both individuals in organisations and private clientsin the UK, the USA and beyond.  Clients are often leaders in social innovation, high potential professionals, and women looking to redefine and embrace their professional and personal priorities.Cat is a lead trainer, assessor, supervisor, and train-the-trainer for the MOE Foundation'scoaching courses.She co-delivers coaching skills training to organisations; conducts interviews for Ambition Institute’s Future Leaders and Teaching Leaders candidates; and is a Lane4 Associateand Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.The daughter of conservationists, Cat has worked on social and environmental projects in India, China, Mongolia, Ecuador and the USA. She has recently completed a three-month coaching circle with Climate Change Coaches, exploringhow to coach people on their relationship with climate change, and isexcited to be building on one part of her work which brings in the power and wonder of nature at an individual and group level.Elizabethworks to help people and organisations find clarity, courage and a path through complex challenges and situations. This can range from local authorities facing budget cuts and yet being asked to achieve net zero carbon emissions, to people contemplating their career or vocation, to organisations seeking to create social and environmental value.Elizabeth is a coach and mentor for Arukah Network, a small international community development organisation that she helped develop. She has lived and worked around the world, largely in sub-Saharan Africa, and has spent thousands of hours working on, and thinking about, community and individual development. She’s also a Green District Councillor in the UK, and enjoys using her community development experience in local politics.Elizabeth has a BSc in Biological Sciences, an MSc in International Development, and an NCTJ Photojournalism accreditation. She is a MOE-certified coach and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA). Elizabeth was the Deputy Editor of the UK's longest-running Environmental Magazine (Resurgence & The Ecologist). She has experienced how learning in and from nature can positively impact our communities and ourselves, and is excited about developing this way of working.

Join the MOE Foundation’s Catriona Horey and Elizabeth Wainwright for an evening of Autumn nature exploration and personal and professional development in London’s Battersea Park. 
We’ve received great feedback and had stimulating discussions following our inaugural Learning from Nature workshop, and so we’d love those of you who were unable to attend in August to join us for our second such workshop! Come along and, in a fun and creative way, discover or enhance your relationship with nature and wilderness.
