Following the success of LearnTo iOS in 2018, LearnTo iOS was back this year alongside a new course LearnTo Code.
Thursday, 24th October will be the 2nd LearnTo Awards evening.
 
Background
 
The goal again of LearnTo iOS was to teach the fundamentals of iOS app development. The course was a 20-week journey. It began with an initial 8 weeks training hosted by parts of the Belfast iOS community. Participants then completed a further 12 weeks of independent app development with remote support. 
 
LearnTo Code launched this year with the goal to teach the fundamentals of software development taking students from writing their first line of code to delivering their first-ever software project. The demographic for this year's course ranges from 1st and 2nd-year university students studying all types of degrees such as pharmacy and marketing to experienced product managers working with software teams to people in their 30s / 40s looking for a potential career change into tech.
 
Awards Evening
This year's awards night is to celebrate the achievements of both LearnTo Code and iOS students. Awards will be given out for the best apps and code projects.
 
We would love to open up our awards night to interested parties who may wish to see and hear more about LearnTo or for those interested in getting involved in LearnTo going forward, either as a student or help expand LearnTo into other areas.
