The Chartered Institute of Fundraising Cymru supports individual fundraisers and charities in their fundraising endeavours, right across Wales.Our members – whether individual, organisational or corporate - join because they are committed to achieving the highest standards in fundraising and fundraising services.We understand that fundraisers have a tough job - a rewarding one, but a tough one all the same. The legacy day is for ALL charities – small and large, local or national.
A great campaign can be done at virtually NO COST and 99% of charities will never need to produce a legacy brochure (hooray).
We will be asking you some very simple questions and the answers given by me on the day will inspire and inform your donors, volunteers, service users and other stakeholders so they become legacy donors and legacy ambassadors.
We will be debating:

<LI>How to talk and write about Wills to ensure a simple call to action</LI>
<LI>How to talk and write about legacy giving on every communication channel you can think of</LI>
<LI>How to integrate  legacies into events </LI>
<LI>How to get rid of negative internal attitudes and get everyone behind your campaign</LI>
</UL>
Legacy giving is SO SIMPLE and the income SO life changing you really should not risk not coming to this event.
And finally remember this: 1 in 3 charity stakeholders are considering a gift in their Will – all you have to do is tell them this is one way of giving. And this legacies day will give you all the answers.

Richard has 35 years ‘experience in fundraising.
For the last 25 years he has specialised in legacies including being Executive Chairman of Smee & Ford where he started the UKs first dedicated legacy consultancy. He sold Smee & Ford nine years ago and has since run his own consultancy 
He has met around 26,000 supporters and service users to ask their views on Will making and legacy giving around the world including Wales and 30 other countries.
He has helped develop strategies for many of the biggest charities in the UK as well as many very small ones!
Richard trains fundraisers, trustees and other volunteers in “How to make the legacy ask”.
He has been Chair of the International Fundraising Congress and the Institute of Fundraising (UK) Convention. He has researched extensively on donor happiness!

Mae gan Richard 35 mlynedd o brofiad mewn codi arian. 
Dros y 25 mlynedd diwethaf mae Richard wedi arbenigo mewn etifeddiaeth gan gynnwys bod yn Gadeirydd Gweithredol Smee & Ford lle y dechreuodd y cwmni ymgynghori cyntaf yn y DU yn benodol ar gyfer etifeddiaeth. Gwerthodd Smee & Ford naw mlynedd yn ôl ac ers hynny mae wedi bod yn rhedeg ei gwmni ymgynghori ei hun.  
Mae Richard wedi cyfarfod ag oddeutu 26,000 o gefnogwyr a defnyddwyr gwasanaeth i ofyn iddynt am eu barn ar wneud Ewyllys a rhoi etifeddol o amgylch y byd gan gynnwys yng Nghymru ac mewn 30 o wledydd eraill. 
Mae wedi helpu i ddatblygu strategaethau ar gyfer llawer o’r elusennau mwyaf yn y DU yn ogystal â llawer o rai bach iawn! 
Mae Richard yn hyfforddi codwyr arian, ymddiriedolwyr a gwirfoddolwyr eraill yn “Sut i ofyn am rodd etifeddol”. 
Mae wedi bod yn Gadeirydd y Gyngres Codi Arian Rhyngwladol a’r Confensiwn Codi Arian (DU). Mae wedi gwneud llawer iawn o ymchwil ynglŷn â hapusrwydd rhoddwyr!
