Researchers from PERF will introduce 'Lesson Study' and discuss its potential  for the professional development of teachers.

Lesson Study for Professional Learning: Paul McMillan, Mike Jess and Wilma Irvine (University of Edinburgh)Lesson Study has become a popular form of teacher-led professional learning in many parts of the world. With a national policy context supportive of teachers’ professional learning and ‘practitioner inquiry’, Scotland is ideally situated to develop Lesson Study as a key feature of professional development in schools and other educational settings.This interactive seminar will offer delegates the opportunity to:1. Explore the potential of Lesson Study as a professional learning approach for all education practitioners.2.
