Come join a FREE programme of arts activities this summer! From 28 July – 17  August 2023 all in the Chisenhale Learn + Play + Create Space! Created by Chisenhale Dance Space, Chisenhale Gallery, & Chisenhale Studios and supported by Action for Bow

An opportunity for families and adults to come together and learn the foundations of <a href="https://www.lindyhopeastldn.co.uk" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Lindy Hop</a>! No experience necessary!During the session, Angela will teach Solo AAVJ, no need for a partner!Workshops are designed for children aged 6 to 12 and their adults. All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.Booking guarantees a place but drop-ins will be accommodated within capacity.Please wear comfortable clothing, trainers, and bring a water bottle.Please be aware that C﻿hisenhale Dance Space is on the third floor, and there is no lift or wheelchair access. Her hashtag - #OriginalHackneyHipster! Mentored by the originators of the dance form (Norma Miller, Frankie Manning), Angela shares her passion for Lindy Hop and Jazz with the new generation of teachers and performers. She has performed at the famous Apollo Theatre in Harlem, taught at the Alvin Ailey Studios and currently teaches at LAMDA. Angela is also patron for the Hodi Dance Company, Mozambique. She has a background in youth and community worker. Angela gives lectures in Dance Social pedagogy. We support an Artist Community independent artists who shape our programmes, ethos, &amp; ethics. Artists span all ages &amp; roles within experimental performance: as performers, choreographers, teachers, curators, producers &amp; advocates for change in the sector.
