The Mass Observation Archive specialises in material about everyday life in Britain. It contains papers generated by the original Mass Observation social research organisation (1937 to early 1950s), and newer material collected continuously since 1981. The Archive is a charitable trust in the care of theUniversity of Sussex. It is housed atThe Keepas part of the University's Special Collections

Come and dance the night away with Mass Observation and Sussex Swing. View archive materials including exquisite ephemera detailing the world of dance halls, sweethearts’ sweet nothings, dresses, music and dancing. Join in (or just sit back and observe) some of the wartime dances popular at the time Mass Observation was recording everyday life in Britain.Sussex Swing specialise in vintage dancing, mostly Lindyhop and Ballroom, but also cover historic dances and vintage styling. They are often found at village fairs around Sussex teaching people how to dance and hold a regular class in Ovingdean on Thursdays.Ticket price includes drinks refreshments.
