Social prescribers, wellbeing coaches, link workers, health champions and support workers are invited to attend a special event on Wednesday, 12 May from 11:30am to 12:30pm to find out the crucial role they can play in preventing type 2 diabetes. At the event you’ll find out more about:<ul><li>What you can do to support GP practices and encourage at risk patients to take up a place on the Healthier You NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme (NDPP)</li><li>The benefits of joining the NDPP, what the sessions involve and how it is delivered</li><li>The Diabetes UK Know Your Risk tool and how it works</li><li>The links with other services on diabetes prevention </li></ul>Colleagues from Diabetes UK, primary care, the West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership’s Diabetes Network and Reed Wellbeing – one of the national providers of the NDPP, will present at the event. We are holding this event as part of a range of activities to support Type 2 Diabetes Prevention Week which runs from 10 to 16 May 2021. Type 2 Diabetes Prevention Week is a nationwide annual campaign that aims to raise awareness of and ways to prevent diabetes. The line up:Speakers include:Agenda
