</p><p>Let's Discuss &amp; Crafts is a 2-hour session. it includes a short presentation to learn more about the impacts of childhood sexual abuse on adult survivors and Quetzal Leicester Work, Discussion about the views and needs of LGBTQ+ in relation to childhood sexual abuse and some craft activities. You do not have to be an artist or expert to partake in this event, simply show up and enjoy a new way of learn about this topic and field. Please note this session is not for people under 16 years of age.

</p><h3>!Trigger Warning! </h3><p>There will be case studies and videos played during the session. If you do not feel comfortable watching these, you are welcome to leave the room and return when the video finishes. In addition, if you are impacted by any of the information shared in this event, you can speak directly to the facilitator so she can share with you resources and signpost accordingly.</p><h3>About Quetzal
</h3><p>quetzal.org.uk</p><p>Quetzal is Leicester-based charity whose mission is to provide free and inclusive counselling and support services to support women's recovery from the trauma of childhood sexual abuse. They support women aged 16 and above, living in Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland. They deliver workshops and activities inviting communities to understand better the impacts of childhood sexual abuse on adult survivors and the value of counselling as well as to discuss together what can be done to better support survivors in their journey towards recovery.</p><p></p><p>A﻿bout St Nicholas Church in Leicester</p><p>stnicholasleicester.com</p><p>S﻿t Nicholas is the fully inclusive and oldest place of worship in the city. </p><p>Dr Marie Lefebvre, development officer and project facilitator at Quetzal. Marie background is in Design for Sustainability and Asset-based community development. Marie joined Quetzal in 2019, delivering Quetzal Breaking the Silence, a project that aimed to measure the effectiveness of a community-based approach to raise awareness about the trauma of childhood sexual abuse in South Asian Communities, and is experienced in delivering awareness-raising sessions about the impacts of abuse on survivors to a wider audience.</p><p>
