Join us for social walks each month, visiting Leicester's Museums and other public venues! Enjoy a friendly group walk through pleasant city streets and parks. We reveal some interesting facts along the way and there is  a social opportunity afterwards.

Enjoy a friendly and festive group walk through pleasant city streets as we take in the festive sights and reminisce on Christmas's past. This winter walk finishes back at Leicester Guildhall where walkers have the option to visit the <a href="https://www.leicestermuseums.org/event-details/?id=c79184f4-90bd-489e-8b88-95737d624b5a" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Christmas Craft Fair</a> afterwards (11am-4pm, £1 entry fee).  This is a great way to get outdoors, explore the city on foot, meet new people and discover something new.</h3><p>The walk is free to attend, short and suitable for most. Walking or wheeling, we hope you'll join us! </p><p><strong>B﻿ookings for this walk opens on Tuesday 1 November at 9am.</strong></p><p>Book via Eventbrite or phone 0116 373 7589 (Monday to Friday, 9am-5.30pm, not at weekends or bank holidays).</p><p>If you are no longer able to attend, please cancel via Eventbrite or contact us by phone during office hours so we can allow others the opportunity to attend.</p><p><strong>New Walkers</strong></p><p>If you have not walked with Leicester City Council before we will ask you to complete our Walker Registration form in advance of the walk online or by phone. You will receive an email with a link to the online form in the days leading up to the event. You only need to do this once and can attend any of our walks thereafter (subject to booking a place on Eventbrite).</p><p><strong>Dress for the weather</strong></p><p>Remember to dress appropriately for the weather. Our group walks will go ahead in most weather. You will not need any special clothing or equipment. We recommend the following:</p><p>•	Comfortable sturdy footwear</p><p>•	Bring a raincoat or umbrella in case of rain</p><p>•	On cooler days wear appropriate layers and a coat/jacket</p><p>•	You may wish to bring a bottle of water with you.</p><p><strong>Group size</strong></p><p>Please book your place – this helps us to keep our group sizes manageable.</p><p><strong>Covid-19 and group walks</strong></p><p>Please help us to keep our walks safe - please do not attend a walk if you have symptoms of Covid-19. </p><p><strong>Self-guided routes</strong></p><p>If you have been unable to book onto one of our group walks, or you prefer to explore with your family or friends, self-guided routes are available to download from the routes page of our <a href="https://www.choosehowyoumove.co.uk/walks/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Choose How You Move website</a> or via the <a href="https://www.gojauntly.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Go Jauntly</a> smartphone app. For other ideas, do check out our <a href="https://www.choosehowyoumove.co.uk/walking/walk-inspiration/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Walk Inspiration page</a> which features walk videos and quiz trails.
