Let’s Talk About Sex: A Networking Morning for Therapists
A reflective networking morning for therapists to build confidence talking about sex, intimacy, and desire in the therapy room.
Therapists.
Are you talking about sex with your clients… or hoping they bring it up?
This networking morning is for therapists who want to feel more confident, relaxed, and intentional when conversations about sex arise in the therapy room.
You’ll spend the morning with Lottie Passell-Syms, exploring how your own understanding, perceptions, and comfort levels around sex influence the way clients experience you, and what they feel able to say.
This is a reflective and practical space that supports therapists to lead conversations about sex with clarity, curiosity, and confidence.
Who this is for
This event is for therapists who want to:
- feel more at ease when sex, intimacy, or desire comes into the work
- develop confidence in opening and holding conversations about sex
- deepen their understanding of how sex shows up in individual and relational therapy
- strengthen their clinical presence when working with intimate or sensitive themes
Whether you work with individuals or couples, this morning will support you to hold conversations about sex with greater confidence and steadiness.
What the morning includes
45-minute talk: “Let’s Talk About Sex”
This talk invites therapists to reflect on a simple but important question: What does sex mean to you?
Sex is rarely just about the physical act. It is often bound up with intimacy, connection, desire, power, vulnerability, and attachment. If we are unclear or uncomfortable with these themes ourselves, clients will often sense that and shape what they bring accordingly.
In this session, Lottie will explore:
- how therapists’ own views about sex shape the therapeutic space
- sex and attachment styles, and how they show up in client work
- consent, boundaries, and relational awareness in therapeutic conversations
- confidence and leadership when working with intimacy and desire
- how this naturally links into relational and couples work
Networking (1 hour 15 minutes)
Lightly facilitated networking using conversation cards, designed to encourage thoughtful discussion, shared reflection, and meaningful connection with other therapists.
This is a space to think together, talk openly, and build confidence through conversation.
Cost
£10 per person
Spaces are limited.
Tea, coffee, and light refreshments will be available throughout the morning.
