Let's Walk! Apperley Bridge Circular

Join us for the sixth of our Leeds to Skipton on the slow way walks. This is a 4.25 mile circular walk starting in Apperley Bridge

About this Event

Why not come along, get active and make new friends on our guided walk. This walk is the sixth of our Leeds to Skipton on the Slow Ways walks, a series of monthly circular walks exploring the canal between Leeds and Skipton in small 3 to 5 mile chunks and all accessible by public transport. Each walk will take place at 10:30am on the 3rd Sunday of the month.

This is a 4.25 mile circular walk starting and finishing at the Stansfield Arms in Apperley Bridge (BD10 0NP).

We meet outside the Stansfield arms to start the next part of this route

As we do with these canal based walks we take in the chance to explore local paths. This walk takes in the outskirts of bottom farm before joining the canal and then through Dawson wood before heading back conventionally along the canal to Appleby bridge.

  • Please consider using public transport to arrive at the start point
  • Our walk will start at 10:30am
  • There will be sections walking through woodland
  • Please wear clothing and footwear suitible for the weather

Please book one time slot per person. Please arrive no more than 15 minutes before your booked slot. These sessions are designed for adults and for children from seven years old upwards as an introduction to walking and are easy grade along our amazing towpaths. Learn a bit of history or see some awesome wildlife which is around every turn on our waterways .

Parents and Guardians are required to accompany their children on this walk.

Walk ins will not be accepted. If you can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket via Eventbrite or please get in touch with us to allow another person(s) a chance to take part. Social distancing measures will be in place and all equipment will be cleaned in between sessions.
