About this Event

Why not come along and walk, get active, make new friends on one of our walk leader led walks . All you need to do is book in on this free walking session. We meet in the Car Park at Llanfoist Crossing (Entrance to car park is on the left as you pull into the road to Abergavenny Garden Centre) This is a lovely walk around 8 miles long starting off along the gentle slope of the old railway track to Govilon, up onto the canal toward Gilwern and then returns along the river (dependant on water levels) We'll set off at 10am and aim to be back by 2pm. Please note the route by the river is subject to flooding and may change to an alternative route.

Please book one time slot per person and make a note of your walk date and time. Please arrive 5-10 miutes before the walk begins. These sessions are designed for walkers with some experience and are a moderate grade. Learn a bit of history or see some awesome wildlife which is around every turn on our waterways .

Parents and Guardians are required to accompany their children on this walk.

If you can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket via Eventbrite. This event is free for all participants who attend on the day. However, if you have booked on, subsequently fail to cancel and simply don’t show up on the day, you are liable to be invoiced for the standard £10.00 administration fee, chargeable for each ticket booked.

Therefore, if your circumstances do suddenly change and you find you are no longer able to attend, please cancel via the Eventbrite ticket booking system using the link that you can find on your ticket. This can be found at the bottom of your ticket and has a link directly to “cancel my ticket”.

We ask for your co-operation in this matter. This will allow others who would otherwise have regrettably missed out due to lack of space, the opportunity to attend this event.
